Induction-welded
TPO.

Our flagship commercial certification. Single-ply TPO attached with the RhinoBond system — no fasteners driven through the membrane across the field, so fewer penetrations, fewer seams, and substantially better uplift performance. In GAF and IKO membranes.

01 — How It Works

Nothing goes through
the membrane.

In a conventional mechanically attached TPO roof, rows of fasteners and plates are driven through the membrane across the entire field, and the membrane is lapped and welded over them. Every one of those rows is a line of penetrations and a seam.

RhinoBond reverses the order. Coated plates are fastened to the deck first, the membrane is laid over them, and an induction tool bonds the membrane to each plate magnetically from above — heating the plate's coating through the sheet without ever piercing it.

The field ends up with far fewer penetrations and far fewer seams. Because the attachment is distributed across bonded plates rather than concentrated along fastened laps, the roof resists wind uplift markedly better than a mechanically attached layout — and on a wide commercial field, uplift across the field is the failure mode that matters.

Certification RhinoBond Certified RhinoBond requires manufacturer certification to install. The manufacturer trains the crews and signs off on the system warranty.
Wind Uplift Enhanced Attachment distributed across bonded plates rather than concentrated along fastened seam laps.
Field Seams Reduced Fewer laps than a mechanically attached layout — and a seam is where a single-ply roof is most vulnerable.
Membranes GAF and IKO We also install mechanically attached and fully adhered TPO where the deck, budget, or specification calls for it.
— Where It Goes

Flat fields,
at scale.

Warehouse and distribution, retail, medical and dental, auto showroom and service, QSR and restaurant, hospitality, multi-family and condo — anywhere there is a wide flat or low-slope field, this is what we specify. The wider the field, the more the uplift advantage matters.

Where the detail gets complicated rather than wide — parapets, terraces, tight tie-ins, multiple penetrations in a small area — we will often recommend torch-applied modified bitumen instead. Different problem, different system.

TPO is commercial-only at Blackstone. We don't install it on houses, and the residential page explains why.

Fewer holes in a roof is not a marketing claim. It is arithmetic.
